Shek Wu Lutheran Community Development Project
Introduction
Since July 1992, Shek Wu Lutheran Community Development Project has continued to provide services to squatter areas in New Territories North District. The centre’s service is a part of the Neighborhood Level Community Development Project (NLCDP).This is subsidized by government to serve the deprived and transient communities where the provision of welfare services and facilities are inadequate or non-existent.The centre address service needs and foster a spirit of mutual help and a sense of belonging to the community among the residents.
Objectives
The aim of the centre is to build up residents’ sense of belongings and to encourage their participation in the community through the community work approach. Residents are encouraged to involve in the community issue and to improve the community problems in the villages as well as to promote the sense of mutual help, so as to improve the quality of living for the residents.
Target
People who lives or works in squatter area of North District such as Shek Wu San Tsuen, Ma Shi Po Tsuen, Fan Gardens and Ling Shan Tsuen will be our service target.

Service
Community Group: to organize residents to form community support groups, community concern groups for squatter area issues and policy
Community Education: to introduce community resources,newsletter publishing, to organize “Experiential Living Camp in Squatter”
Community Care: mobilizing volunteer to serve the residents in need
Community Network: case referral and coordination with community organizations or government departments
Training Work: providing training to volunteer
Others:counselling services, interests groups and community activities,etc.

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 9:30 AM - 12:30PM, 2:00pm-5:30pm
Wednesday & Friday: 2:00 PM- 5:30 PM, 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM
Saturday: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Sunday & public holidays: Closed
